Our Mission

To purpose breed Thoroughbred horses for eventing from proven bloodlines in a natural environment to encourage optimum physical and mental development of the competition horse; to breed from stock demonstrating the temperament to accept the demands of training together with the soundness, paces, conformation and jumping ability to succeed over a long career in the sport.

 

Meadowbrook horse stud is a privately owned New Zealand stud that supplys fresh, frozen or chilled semen for artificial insemination (A.I) to the elite of New Zealand and international sporthorse breeders from our thoroughbred stallion RED CAT.

Our Stud farm is under development to create a privately owned equine centre that will complement and enhance our our ability to breed purpose bred sporthorses for dressage, polo, show jumping or eventing purposes. Once completed, the facilities will be open to individuals and groups from all sectors of the equestrian industry. From time to time clinics will be arranged with trainers from within New Zealand and overseas, catering to everyone.

Agistment and boarders for short or long term stays are welcome.

As well as world class horses, we also breed pedigree Limousins (Full French) Beef Cattle.
